Mr. Mendher Ben Sik Ali governor of Monastir oversaw the opening of the Arab Vertical Poetry Festival at its 17th session in Amira Al-Hajjaj in the presence of the Secretary General of State and the Accredited Regional Delegate for Culture and the Mayor of Amira Al-Hajjaj.

During the evening, a series of poetry readings were heard from an elite of Arab poets, such as the poet Al-Azhar Al-Mahmoudi of Algeria, the poet Abdallah Al-chaarbaji of Egypt, the poet Louham haboub of Syria, the poet Abdelmajid Barghouthi of Tunisia and the poet Hayat al-Nkhali of Morocco.
