The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Moez Chakchouk, this Friday evening July 2, 2021 at the  headquarters of the State of Monastir, supervised an extraordinary meeting of the regional committee for prevention and response to disasters and organization of relief, in the presence of the governor of Monastir and the presence of the members of the Assembly of the representatives of the people and the presence of the first authorized and registrar of the State and the presence of the members of the regional committee Representatives of the various departments concerned and the presence of representatives of national organizations and the presence of members of the regional scientific committee, was devoted to monitoring the regional plan to fight against the Corona virus and to see the format of the regional vaccination campaign against the Corona virus.
The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Moez Shakouk, explained that it has become necessary to change the national vaccination strategy, provided that the vaccination priority is adopted for the first registrants, in addition to supporting the mobile vaccination centers to carry out a survey of the areas visited by the mobile center and to vaccinate all the inhabitants of the region.
With regard to medical equipment, mechanisms and resources donated by Tunisians abroad or associations abroad, the Minister of Transport and Logistics has confirmed that the Ministry of Transport transfers free of charge all equipment and donations addressed to the Ministry of Health, in addition to shortening delays and customs procedures.
The Minister of Transport and Logistics has stated that he will work as part of his work in government to transfer the concerns and issues of the health sector in Monastir state to the Minister of Health and the Presidency of the Government in order to provide moral and material support to the entity so that it overcomes the difficulties of resistance to the Corona pandemic and in order to succeed in the national vaccination campaign.
The governor of Monastir confirmed that the regional plan to fight the Corona virus has been launched since the start of the pandemic, with the participation of civil society and the combined efforts of the various interventions, with the opening of the National Quarantine Center. mandatory, and the state of Monastir received, during the first wave, all people infected with the Corona virus from all over the Republic. Almost all of them recovered, so that at that time Monastir was called the "capital of healing".
The governor of the region explained that with the combined efforts of the various stakeholders and with the contribution of civil society, organizations and businessmen, the logistics aspect improved until the number of recovery beds in the region reaches about 40 beds and more than 150 oxygen beds.
The governor of Monastir also praised the role of civil society and the unique experience in providing oxygen supply machines to the homes of people infected with the Coronavirus, which has helped ease the pressure on annex hospitals and on centers dedicated to people living with the Coronavirus.
Regional health director Hammouda El-Babba gave a presentation on the epidemiological situation in the region, which has been recorded so far and as a regional average of 541 active cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days. , 911 active cases were recorded in the coastal delegation, 843 active cases in camels, 768 active cases in Bakalta and 757 active cases Bsada Lamtp Bohajr.
And the regional health director confirmed that 94,565 analyzes were performed, including 23,989 positive analyzes, or 25.4%, and 560 deaths were recorded and 1,938 cases were accommodated in hospitals, noting that the number of convalescent beds amounted to 38 beds, 155 beds, oxygen and WC. General 92.7%.
And the regional health director called for the need to provide 5 ambulances and to support the authority with urgent human resources to maintain the continuity of the health establishment, in particular by supporting the departments designated for Covid-19, where he called for the need to support the authority with 6 doctors, 26 nurses, 8 senior technicians and 9 workers.

Members of the House of Representatives called on the people, mayors and heads of organizations to support the authority with the human resources, equipment and means necessary to deal with the Corona pandemic, as well as to demand larger amounts of vaccination as the only way to overcome this problem.

The head of the Regional Federation of Industry, Commerce and Handicrafts, Mustafa Taqieh, also called for the need to adopt a policy of "directed vaccination", that is to say the attribution of vaccination and its acquisition by the owners of industrial establishments in order to vaccinate workers as soon as possible without waiting for their ordinal role according to the age adopted by the vaccination system "EVAX", And he stressed the importance of maintaining the health of workers in industrial establishments to ensure the sustainability of their activities.
