As part of the monitoring of the epidemiological situation in the region and in execution of the decisions of the Regional Committee for Disaster Prevention and Response and the organization of the emergency held at the headquarters of the State on Monday, June 21, 2021 and on the basis of the Committee's opinion
Regional scientist of Monastir, the governor of Monastir issued today, Wednesday 23 June 2021, a number of decisions aimed at reducing
the spread of Corona virus infection from today until Monday 05 July 2021, and the most important of these are:
Ban on public and private parties and weddings
Moorish baths and closed wedding rooms
Prohibition of all types of travel (leisure - cultural - reconnaissance and camping) from and to Monastir
Suspension of various activities, cultural and scientific events and festivals
Obligation to wear masks in all departments, large commercial spaces, hospitals, private clinics and all public and private transport
Ban on mourning processions and funerals in cemeteries
The governor of Monastir, during the working session of the regional committee for the prevention and response to disasters and the organization of relief, in which the first commissioner, the directors of guard and police regions, the regional director of civil protection, members of the regional scientific committee, a group of regional executives and representatives of national organizations, convened the regional committee and the local committees which resulted from it, responsible for monitoring the epidemiological situation in the region on a daily basis, as well as to recommend the continuation of the application of the conditions of the sanitary protocols and to tighten the application of the law on the offenders.
Members of the Monastir Regional Scientific Committee underlined the seriousness of the epidemiological situation and the increase in cases of coronavirus infection in recent days, stressing the need to respect health protocols and the obligation of citizens to wear masks, including registration in the vaccination system to ensure survival with this pandemic.
The regional health director, Hammouda El-Babba, gave an overview of the evolution of the epidemiological situation in the state of Monastir, where the interests of the health sector in the region have completed 86,525 analyzes of the investigation into Corona virus infection since the start of the pandemic, and among them 20,943 positive cases were found, with an overall rate of 24.2%, and 549 deaths were recorded, or 3.48% of the total injured, and 1886 patients were hospitalized.
He added that 5 resuscitation beds will soon be added, bringing the total number of resuscitation beds in the region to 42, stressing in the same context that the occupancy capacity of the resuscitation beds of the CHU Fattouma Bourguiba in Monastir is currently more than 90.%, with warning of the seriousness of the epidemiological situation in the region, because the general percentage of the state of the number of injured in the last 14 days, and until June 21, 2021, is equivalent to 219 injured for 100,000 inhabitants, and a difference in the infection rates in the delegations was recorded, in particular 349 injured per 100,000 inhabitants, 317 injured per 100,000 inhabitants, and 300 injured in the event of debtors per 100,000 inhabitants 249 injured / 100 000 inhabitants in Wardanin and 247 injured / 100,000 inhabitants
Regarding the vaccination process, the regional health director confirmed that, for the first dose, he had reached 692,276 vaccinations on June 21, and 29,889 vaccinations for the second dose.
